Aesir Film Productions is an Edmonton-based film company committed to telling meaningful stories while supporting the local creative community. We focus on inclusive, high-quality filmmaking that uplifts diverse voices, creates opportunities for women in film, and fosters mentorship on set.

We work with Edmonton-based crew and cast, including ACTRA talent, to strengthen Alberta’s cultural and economic footprint. Our productions are guided by values of respect, representation, and collaboration—creating not just films, but a set environment where community thrives.

Current Project in Pre-Development -                    Legacy Rewritten

Legacy Rewritten - A multimedia project that follows a mother and son as they uncover their family history and navigate complex colonial-era citizenship laws, exploring what it means to belong across generations and cultures.

Featured Project -      Lady in the Lake

Lady in the Lake is a surreal, modern horror film that blends mystery and psychological tension as folklorist Dannisha unravels a local legend, confronting haunting truths that blur reality and myth.

Featured Project -              Somnio

Somnio is a dystopian sci-fi thriller where a student’s reality begins to fracture after meeting her boyfriend’s secretive lab partner—uncovering a genetic experiment that challenges free will, identity, and what it means to be human.

Selected Project -  Sexism in the City

Sexism in the City  explores the impact of social media and beauty standards through the lens of two women navigating the fashion and film industries. As their stories intersect, questions emerge about identity, self-worth, and the quiet influence of modern culture.
